Outdoor Cushions: 25% Off On Sunbrella Fabric

We are offering 25% per yard off all Sunbrella fabric for the month of June for new orders and free fabric shipping (from Sunbrella to DSC) for orders over 5 yards - just let us know prior to placing the order.  This is a great savings for a great product.

Wow! This has been quite the Spring for outdoor cushion fabrication... a new day where patios have become an extension of our eating and living areas; our outdoor den.  Furnishing and decorating our patios has become as unique and personal as furnishing the living areas of our home.  The choices for outdoor furniture are no longer limited to a few wrought iron pieces handed down by our mothers and left to rust in the elements.  We now have fire pits and plasma televisions to enhance our connection with nature.

Whether you are a true back-to-nature type, only requiring minimal amount of comfort for your barbecuing experience or, if like my family, love the cozy comfort of a den on your patio, the choices that are now ours for outdoor fabric has taken an enormous turn for the good.  It wasn't that long ago that the mention of outdoor cushions invoked a vision of either bright, contrasting striped fabric; or even worse, pastel jungle scapes.  Textile designers have opened the doors (per se), by introducing textures, colors and designs that no longer battle aesthetically with our landscapes.  Furthermore, quality outdoor fabrics are transitional.  Window seats, chair pads and sofas are now covered with this durable, multi-function fabric.

Not all outdoor fabrics are the same.  My professional, as well as personal, choice is Sunbrella... for many reasons.  When educating my customers, I always encourage the purchase of Sunbrella.  Yes, it costs a bit more but is worth every extra dollar, by far.  Sunbrella is the outdoor/transitional champion!  Made with 100% Acrylic, the weave and dye are like none other.  For cushions sitting outside in the elements, or simply in a sunroom catching rays all day, you do not want to scrimp with a 100% Polyester alternative.  There is just no comparison.  We see it all the time, customers who are sold name-brand outdoor fabric, returning a year or so later needing new fabric because of issues with fading and wear.

Another thing to consider when purchasing outdoor cushions is the cushion insert.  Using poly-foam inserts - the type used as inserts for indoor cushions - is unacceptable.  Poly-foam holds water and will cause mildewing.  We offer reticulated foam (net-like foam) that allows water to drain evenly out of the cushion.  Like Sunbrella fabric, reticulated foam is not cheap, but using the alternative will lead to distruction of your cushion in only one or two seasons.  In addition to using the best foam, we add further insurance by sewing with UV protected thread.  We use UV protected thread in all of our slipcovering as well as re-upholstery.

I will be posting outdoor cushion pics as they become available.  We can create your cushions and ship them to you.  Call us for specifics.

Have beautiful times outdoors!  Enjoy this awesome weather...

Peace!
